Dance Facilities
The Harid Conservatory's beautiful five-acre campus includes an administration
building, spacious dance facilities, and a student residence. HARID's architectural
design and landscaping have been recognized for their originality and beauty.
The 12,300-square-foot dance building contains three large studios: one 80
x 40 feet in size and two 40 feet x 40 feet in size. The studios have 22-foot-high
ceilings, windows for natural light, sprung floors, ten-foot mirrors, oak
barre, concert grand pianos, and portable audio equipment. The largest studio
can be transformed into an intimate 160-seat performance space.
The dance building also contains dressing rooms, complete with makeup stations,
lockers, showers and washrooms, sufficient for forty female and twenty male
students. The comfortably furnished faculty lounge has complete dressing and
shower facilities.
The media center, also located in the dance building, has a significant collection
of books, periodicals, and music and dance recordings. Adjacent to the library is a small gallery featuring photographs
of various HARID performances.
